About Mac
With over two decades of professional experience, Mac brings a wealth of expertise to his private practice. He specializes in individual, couple, and family therapy, offering comprehensive treatment to clients across various age groups dealing with diverse mental health concerns. His primary areas of focus include managing depression, anxiety, and eating disorders, marital and relational distress, and self esteem struggles.
Prior to dedicating himself full-time to his private practice in 2021, Mac served for twenty years as the Assistant Clinical Director and Staff Psychologist at the Center for Change, an esteemed eating disorder hospital located in Orem, Utah while maintaining a part-time private practice.
Mac holds a PhD in Counseling Psychology from Brigham Young University and completed a psychology internship at Washington State University. Additionally, he obtained a Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan in 1997, following a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta in 1994.
When Mac isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, four children, and dog. His favorite things to do are watch and play hockey, go to concerts, camp, travel, and spend time on the boat as family.
